Jennifer "I am never bored" W.'s Profile

We had a small budget wedding, back in 2000. Ken came on recommendation of my fiance's old boss (when he was a sous chef at a catering company). Not only did Ken work within our budget, he came up with innovative arrangements that drew lots of compliments.

He really "got" my style: offbeat, with kind of an asian theme. I wore a handmade gown that was a Chinese-style sheathe with a red dragon curled around it. He chose flowering branches and red roses and I loved everything he put together!

Afterwards, I was supposed to give him back his vases, but for some reason it fell off my radar... then we moved... and it took me two years to return them!! He was shocked when I showed up with him, and was gracious about the whole thing, to his credit.

Ken showed up on time and set up all the arrangements, I hardly even knew he was there! I can't say enough good things about him.

This mall has a LOT of shops, but I have to agree with ayi that its mostly geared to teens. And they also have a lot of kiosks with annoying people who try to engage you as you are walking along.

I ate at the faux-Mexican place in the food court and it was just awful. I had to have a Mrs Fields cookie to make up for it.

I only come here when I have something in  mind that I need. It can get overly crowded and warm at times and I find the whole thing overwhelming.

I recently went to GenRay and got a cut from Kelli. My best friend had recommended her when she was at Barbarella. I only change hair stylists when absolutely necessary, and I'm wary of new ones. I brought in a photograph and a sketch of what I wanted my hair to look like. She discussed the cut and my hair up front. At one point she asked if I was open to having asymmetrical hair. I said yes, but then she ended up cutting it symmetrical because it wasn't working.

The result: a very cute cut! I have received many compliments on it. Its short and fun to play with. I love that she talked through how she styled my hair so that I could duplicate it at home. Great selection of B&B products too.

AND I had a great time sitting in the chair and yakking with Kelli about music and art and other mundane stuff. I usually hesitate on making small talk when getting my hair cut, but I felt relaxed and enjoyed the time I spent.

I'll definitely be going back for my next cut!

Great venue, friendly staff, average beer selection. Their veggie burgers are made on the premises and are the best I have ever had! The fries rock too.

They have open mic night on Mondays that is supposed to be the best in SF. I've gone to that and also seen shows there. Very nice intimate setting.

The fact that its right on my way home from work makes it a convenient location for happy hour.

My only complaint is that sometimes the jukebox is up REALLY LOUD which makes it hard to have a conversation.

These guys were very friendly and helpful. I talked to Gary on the phone, and Brian in the shop. I had to have four new tires put on, plus alignment, nitrogen, and warranty for about $600 for my scion XA. My tires had to be ordered from a warehouse, but came the same day and my car was done before they closed at 5:30pm.

I think I could have paid less somewhere else, but I really feel like I got an honest deal and good service.
